Carla was appointed to her present position Chief Operating Officer at Team Edge R/C in 2002, with day-to-day responsibility for the company's domestic operations and oversight of its Hong Kong operations, having helped establish the brand in the Radio Control business during the two prior years as its National Sales Director. Her duties as COO include managing the finances of the U.S. and H.K. operations, production planning and distribution, human resources, management of the domestic sales force and international distributors, sales administration, and key account sales.

Today Carla Quann is one of the highest ranking African-American women in the toy industry. From her beginnings in customer service as a novice in the business, Carla steadily rose up through the ranks by dint of her intelligence, her facility with numbers, an expansive personality and a capability for sustained hard work. Carla has a brisk, no-nonsense approach to work but also leavens her toughness with a sparkling wit, which helps her inspire the efforts of her peers and subordinates.

The mother of a college-age son, Carla is very involved with the minority community, working with single parents and other young people, encouraging them to realize that with hard work, discipline, and fun you can compete and succeed in the business world if you maintain a positive attitude, and have the skills and knowledge acquired through education and work experience.
