Judith Kaplan is not only the founder and director of Action Products International, Inc. (Nasdaq:APII), a leading toy designer and manufacturer of educational and positive, non-violent branded toys for pre-school children through pre-teens, whose sales strategy is focused on the specialty market, she is also an expert on women's history. She is an entrepreneur who collects women's history artifacts, promoted women on U.S. stamps, produced a series of women's history collectibles, and once owned a women's professional baseball team. Her long-term focus has been to strengthen girls' self esteem as a role model and through increasing their knowledge of women's history.

In 1977, Judith founded Action Products International, Inc. (APII) in the basement of her home in Queens, New York. The company's initial business was supplying products for the museum store gift market.

Judith brought APII (it was then called Action Packets) public through an IPO in 1984; she was one of the first women to bring a company that she founded public. In the mid '80's, APII won INC 500 awards - four times as one of the fastest growing companies - and in a 1985 White House ceremony, President Reagan honored Ms. Kaplan as the State of Florida Small Business Person. She has been listed in Who's Who in Finance & Industry, American Women and many other commercial biographies since 1984.

Today, APII is a toy manufacturer whose focus is on designing and manufacturing educational, non-violent toys for the specialty market. Some of APII's current brands are "I DIG" (current themes: dinosaur, Egyptian, Pirate themes), "Jay Jay the Jet Plane Wooden Adventure Series," "Space Voyagers," "Kidz Workshop," "Play and Store," and "Drop Zone." APII's. Judith currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors of APII and is working to increase APII's sales to the museum channel. In April 2004 APII acquired Curiosity Kits, a leading children's crafts and activity kits company.

Judith has produced a women's history collectible series (over 150 different first day covers about women in history (first day covers are philatelic - stamp collection- items). She serves on the Board of Directors and is the Secretary of the National Women's History Museum, which is in the process of establishing a women's history museum in Washington DC on the Mall.

Judith also serves on the Board of the Veteran Feminists of America. Judith is the author of "Women's Suffrage on First Day Covers" and co-author of "Space Patches from Mercury to the Space Shuttle."
