Robbie Stillerman, founder of Robbie Stillerman Design, Inc., is an award winning designer with 20 plus years experience in every phase of doll and toy development. She has successfully built and managed her own company since 1980, working for some of the most prestigious manufacturers in the toy industry. She is the creative force behind some of the most successful dolls and plush ever launched. Creative problem solving, dynamic presentations, leadership and customer satisfaction sensitivity has led to successfully managing 15 freelancers serving major toy companies in a timely manner. From conceptual design through developing prototypes and into production her scrupulous eye gives a product that special touch needed for success.

Some of the most significant success in which she had sole responsibility for design and development include:

  • "Baby Loves to Talk" for Toy Biz. This was the promotional Toy of the Year for Toy 'R Us, selling over 1 million units. Among its worldwide accolades "Baby Loves to Talk" received the Most Innovative Toy of the Year in France and Best Girl's Toy and Doll of the Year in Australia. Family Fun magazine named it the Best Doll of the Year.
  • "Baby Tumbles Surprise", was developed for Toy Biz. Not only did it sell over 3 million units it was then extended to a full line of products.
  • "Baby So Real," was developed for Toy Biz and sold over 500,000 units.
  • "Pretty and Me," created for Toy Biz in 1995, won the Best Doll of the Year for the 5-7 year old category for Family Fun Magazine.

Ms. Stillerman also possesses a unique expertise in the design and development of lines of plush. She created an extensive line for "The Grinch that Stole Christmas" by Playmates, which was an exclusive for Toys 'R Us. The line included: 2 large stuffed characters, 4 bean bag toys, key chains and inside-out plush ornaments. Robbie also developed 8 products for Clifford the Big Red Dog for Toy Island. She designed, developed and obtained licensor approval on prototypes within six weeks.

In addition to her successes with dolls and plush, Ms. Stillerman has designed and illustrated over 40 children's books. My Book of Words, for Golden Books, sold over 2 million copies to date. Little Lisa Sticker Paper Dolls, for Dover Publications, is their best selling sticker paper doll book in its category.
