About the Role
As Brand Manager, you will be the champion, primary catalyst and ultimate authority for assigned brands within our well-established and growing Preschool division. You will be the key architect in developing and driving the overall brand vision, while leading a high-performing cross-functional team to execute that vision and achieve meaningful results. Working alongside the Brand Director, the Brand Manager will oversee product line development and carry out strategic plans for their brand(s) while meeting and exceeding financial and business objectives to help our company grow and succeed.
What you will do:
Communication and business lead on your brand(s) - ensuring all teams and key stakeholders are informed of the brand’s vision, positioning, product strategy, etc.
Drive day-to-day line development for assigned brand(s) and manage key development milestones and financial objectives
Analyze and evaluate sales data, understand the competition and current industry trends to aid in product line architecture, strategy and development
Conduct competitive and consumer analysis, understanding and applying toy trends and play patterns to assigned lines
Lead a cross-functional team to ensure best in class products with brand integrity, maintaining consistent brand voice across product, packaging, sales, and marketing communication toolkits
Collaborate with global sales leads to deliver impactful sell-in tools and assets needed to drive the business, achieve key financial goals and advocate on behalf of our brands
Requirements
What we are looking for:
Experience in consumer products and licensing, with have a passion for toys
Interest in or willingness to learn and follow trends within Preschool IP / entertainment categories
Ability to thrive in a time-sensitive, fast-paced environment and be nimble enough to adapt to shifts in priorities
Strong analytic and time management skills
Creative out-of-the box thinker with a passion for innovation
Strong written and verbal communication skills - an articulate speaker and presenter who knows how to read and engage an audience, and comfortable presenting to internal and external senior-level leadership
Skilled in presentation composition and communications apps, including PowerPoint and Google Slides
Ability to work effectively and build relationships at all levels of cross-functional teams and third parties
Proven ability to lead and manage people and teams, and mentor junior staff
Trend-savvy, highly organized and efficient team player
Proficient in Google Suite + MS Office Suite (basic Adobe Creative Suite knowledge a plus)
Bachelor’s Degree, in marketing area or related field preferred. Graduate Degree a plus
Minimum 4+ years of relevant marketing, brand, or product management experience with a CPG background, toy experience a plus
