About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director of Accounts Receivable to manage our accounting department. The Director of Accounts Receivable will be responsible for overseeing all accounts receivable operations, including credit, collections, and chargebacks. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leadership, strong analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Additionally, this candidate should have a background in operational accounting under US GAAP within a SOX environment.

What you'll be doing:

Oversee the accounts receivable department, including credit, collections, and chargebacks.
Participate in the month end close process by reviewing journal entries and reconciliations with a primary focus on accounts receivable.
Develop and implement policies and procedures for efficient management of accounts receivable.
Manage and motivate the accounts receivable team to achieve goals and objectives.
Develop and maintain relationships with clients to ensure timely payment and customer satisfaction.
Analyze and report on accounts receivable performance, including delinquency rates and aging reports.
Develop and implement strategies to improve cash flow and reduce delinquency rates.
Work closely with other departments to ensure accurate and timely billing and collections.
Ensure compliance with accounting and financial reporting standards.
Provide training and coaching to team members to enhance their skills and abilities.
Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What we look for:



Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or other industry relevant field required


8+ years relevant experience in various accounts receivable role


3+ years of leadership experience


Experience with accounting software and ERP systems                     


Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage a team effectively


Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail. Knowledge of accounting and financial reporting standards. •. • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines


Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office & G-Suite; with advanced excel skills


Exceptional verbal and written communication skills


Can easily adapt to shifting priorities, and can manage multiple priorities at one time while simultaneously working on multiple projects/tasks and meeting deadlines


Strong abilities in process improvement and organizational change


Strong project management and planning skills


Strong analytical skills


Ability to use independent judgment, analyze information and formulate recommendations and solve problems.


Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate and deal effectively with diverse individuals at all organizational levels in a professional manner             


Experience with Blackline preferred


Experience in a global company


Multilingual a plus
