We are currently seeking a highly motivated, confident, and enthusiastic sales professional to join our team as a National Account Manager dedicated to growing our specialty business.
Our ideal candidate will have a skill set that lends itself to working with specialty retail partners across the country, both directly and through partnerships with our 3rd party sales representatives. This person should have experience using strategic selling techniques to generate revenue & lasting business relationships. Candidates must be comfortable developing shipment forecasts, analyzing sales KPI’s, resourceful and ambitious. OBJECTIVES OF THIS ROLE:
• Generate revenue by expanding business opportunities with new & existing retail partners across our specialty channel throughout the United States
• Work with and lead our independent representatives to further strengthen our channel position
• Increase company gross margins through strategic negotiations and enhanced partnerships
• Foster customer relationships to become a preferred vendor for our retailers
• Represent PlayMonster’s portfolio of products to assigned retail channels, based on unique needs of each customer
• Collaborate across the company to ensure customers’ needs are met
• Observe & evaluate competitive landscape to protect existing business
• Expand PlayMonster’s reputation of exciting brands
RESPONSIBILITIES AND EXPECTATIONS:
• Achieve sales goals by assessing retailer needs and following a defined selling process with potential buyers, often utilizing product demos and presentations
• Responsible for shipment forecasts & inventory planning for all assigned accounts and channels
• Manage day-to-day customer service functions by working with sales operations and data entry team
• Analyze the financials of your business and provide status updates to the organization and independent representative groups
• Support & collaborate with external sales representatives on select key accounts and showrooms
• Maintain in-depth product knowledge & drive future product development through relevant feedback
• Where appropriate, develop cooperative marketing plans to support retailers
• Plan & attend trade show events
• Other duties for this role will be assigned as necessary/appropriate

Requirements
Bachelor’s degree
Minimum of 4 years sales experience in the toy, retail, or similar industry
Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office programs
Ability to travel approximately 20% of the time
Familiarity with sales analytics & forecasting
Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and people skills
Able to effectively multi-task in an often fast-paced environment
Truly enthusiastic about toys, games, arts & crafts
