Position Summary:

The Production Manager is integral to the Sourcing and Production Team. You will work closely with the Brand and Product Development Team to facilitate the Bill of Materials/Brand idea into the finished goods. This position is the point person between Brand/Product Development and the factories and will work daily to complete the item. You are the key driver of cost negotiations to meet the margin requirements and the product specs. You will guide the factory through the production process, from the Bill of Materials to Final Production Sample and QC Inspections.


Responsibilities:

Production:

Extensive Knowledge in Soft Goods, preferably in plush (toy), apparel, bags, bedding, etc.
Own the entire production lifecycle from sample development during ideation to delivery of finished goods for approved initiatives.
Collaborate with the brand team to drive a better product development process by sharing insights from a manufacturing perspective to achieve scale and cost efficiency.
Interact with Brand and Design to fully execute production and communicate concepts to factories. Participate in early-stage development, providing category knowledge to initial preliminary costing and factory design feedback.
Manage all day-to-day communications with the plants (APAC region) – game concept, product specs, and BOM, and work through the development of the initial sample phase to TOP samples delivery
Own problem-solving during the production process with the goal on meeting cost and delivery timelines
Own the detailed production timeline and track task closure against the plan. Escalate to team leader on any risk to meet retailer shelf deadlines.
Lead all Costing negotiations for relevant lines and materials to meet/improve margin requirements. Extensive Cost Negotiations with Factories.
Factory (APAC) travel (yearly) to gain manufacturing experience and source new suppliers.

PO to Delivery:

PO placement and execution of timely delivery for the category
Ownership of all final packaging markings for accuracy of UPC/SKU/COO
Tracking production timeline and ensuring NetSuite is updated to reflect accurate dates
Manage QA/QC process by collaborating with external agencies for material testing, inline inspections, and final production QC

Requirements

This Could Be You If:

Bachelor’s Degree in Production/Sourcing/Supply Chain

5+ Years of production experience in Soft goods (Plush toys)

Well-versed with manufacturing techniques for soft lines

Past Overseas Factory Travel

Proficiency in Excel, NetSuite ERP Systems

Experience with Project management software; Monday.com is a plus

Mandarin Speaking is a plus

The salary range for this role is $80,000.00- $90,000.00 annually, plus eligible for an annual bonus based on performance; bonus prorated from the start date. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith, believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employee’s pay position within the wage range will be based on several factors, including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs. This compensation range may also be modified in the future.
