WIT Enters 25th Year with Support from Major Toy Industry Players 2016 Sponsors Support Initiatives that Empower Women

NEW YORK, NY, January 19, 2016 – Women in Toys, Licensing & Entertainment (WIT) is pleased to announce its 2016 sponsors, who are helping to fund many of the organization’s initiatives that empower women in the toy industry.

Generous contributions from WIT Sponsors empower WIT to fund its expansive global program, which provides concrete resources and professional development tools, far-reaching networking and a collaborative environment to enhance success for their members’ careers and businesses. From the greenest newbies, to the brightest future leaders, the most senior industry thought leaders, and everyone in between, there are more than 50 events this year at which WIT sponsors will connect directly with members.

Dollars raised from corporate partners also fund The WIT Foundation, the organization’s non-profit arm that provides scholarships to young female undergraduate students enrolled in toy design, engineering, entrepreneurship, and other industry-related programs.

WIT’s 25th anniversary year kicked off with events in the U.S., Hong Kong, London and Nuremburg, and the celebration will continue at the 12th annual WIT Wonder Woman Awards Gala, which honors the achievements of women in toys, licensing and entertainment. This year’s Gala pays tribute to WIT founders Anne Pitrone and Susan Matsumoto, and will be held on February 14th at the Grand Hyatt New York.
