POSITION SUMMARY



The Channel Account Manager, VAR/MSP will have a key role in the recruitment, development, ongoing account management and Success of named VARs/MSPs and Cloud Service Providers. This role is an individual contributor position. The individual should be used to cold calling, opening doors, channel development etc. The position also forms a vital part of a small, tight knit, Channel Sales and Marketing "team" - and the individual will be a team-player focused on the goal of successfully growing the Vtech/SNOM brand within the channel.




ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBLITIES



Assume overall Account Management responsibility for current and targeted VARs, MSPs and Cloud Service Providers.


Work with the sales leadership team to develop and execute a plan for success to address maximum coverage and performance of the assigned and targeted Managed Service Providers.


Develop and maintain strong business partnership relationships across all levels including the senior levels within the current and targeted Managed Service Providers.


Develop and implement strategies to drive strategic Service Provider/VAR accounts wins and competitive win backs to meet and exceed assigned sales goals and targets.


Develop and implement go to market strategies to drive transactional sales to ensure the company successfully meets targeted revenue, profitability and market share targets across all solution sets.


Promote and raise the profile of the entire Vtech/Snom solution offerings, driving positive brand equity, market share and mind share acquisition.


Maintain a fiscally responsible focus in developing and executing appropriate financial models, pricing, and gross margins to win business and meet company goals.


Develop and implement a comprehensive account relations strategy and monitor its effectiveness through regular contact with assigned VARs/Managed Service Providers.


Ensure all activities are following both local and US laws and ensure high levels of ethical conduct are adhered to.


Responsible for timely and accurate forecasting on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.


Responsible for complete and accurate forecasts, proposals, and account activity in the company customer relationship management (CRM) tool.


Collaborate through communication and teamwork with co-workers, management, clients and others in a courteous, and professional manner


Exercise sound business judgment


Work independently and collaboratively and manage time effectively to meet changing deadlines and priorities


Treat all employees, guests and customers and others affiliated with our business with respect


Conform and abide by all laws, regulations, policies, work procedures, instructions and VTech's Rules of Engagement


Conform with all safety rules and use all appropriate safety equipment


Other duties as needed or required



POSITION SKILLS



Seasoned creator of presentations, solution proposals, and business case.


Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills.


Excellent customer focus and adaptability.


Experience and comfort level in configuring and orchestrating demonstrations of solutions.


Strong interpersonal skills in building and maintaining collaborative relationships with cross functional teams.


Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with Microsoft Office 365 preferred.



EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION



At least 5 years of progressively responsible experience in VAR, service provider, hosted or cloud based voice, video or other unified communications technology sales


Bachelor's degree in Business Management or a related field; or any combination of experience and education that provides the necessary skills, knowledge and ability to perform essential functions of this role.



MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITY



This position has no management/supervisory responsibilities.




WORK ENVIRONMENT



Duties are primarily performed in a remote office environment, as well as required travel throughout the US. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets.




MENTAL AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS



Mental activities required by this job include constant decision making, discretion, problem analysis and resolution, independent judgment and independent action. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.



Language: The employee must be able to communicate in the English language.



Prolonged Sitting: Majority of the workday will be spent sitting at a desk or workstation using a computer.



Repetitive Motions: Frequent typing and mouse use are required.



Vision: Must be able to read printed materials and a computer screen for extended periods.



Speaking and Hearing: Regularly communicates with employees, vendors, and leadership via phone, video conferencing, and in-person meetings.



Mobility: Occasionally may need to move about the office, attend meetings, or conduct presentations.



Lifting: Infrequently may lift or carry materials such as reports or office supplies (generally less than 10 pounds).



If working Remotely: Employee must have a suitable home office environment with reliable internet access and may need to attend occasional in-person meetings or events.

POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK



This is a full-time position, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday. Core hours will be set between employee and manager and will be based on business needs. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.




TRAVEL



Out-of-the-area and overnight travel is expected up to 50% of the time.

The Channel Account Manager position pays a compensation range from $90,000 to $110,000 base salary + commission based on the incumbent's background and experience relevant to the position's requirements. We provide excellent medical, dental, and vision benefits. Full-time employees earn 18 days of Paid Time Off your first year, plus 10 standard and 3 flexible company-paid holidays. Employees receive a 401K company match of up to a 4.5%. VTech offers paid parental leave and paid volunteer time off benefits
