Brand Licensing Manager
Location: Atlanta, GA (Hybrid)

Position Summary:

Newell Brands is a leading global consumer products organization committed to creating innovative and high-quality products that enhance our consumers' lives. We are currently seeking a creative and driven Brand Licensing Manager to join our team and oversee the development and growth of our iconic brands including through licensing partnerships. We are looking for a passionate individual with a strong understanding of brand licensing, who can bring innovative and dynamic ideas to the table.

As the Home and Commercial Brand Licensing Manager responsible for brands including Crockpot, Oster, Mr. Coffee, Rubbermaid, and Yankee Candle, you will be responsible for expand brand presence and maximize revenue through a group of new and existing product categories and licensees with the goal of meeting predetermined revenue targets and growth goals. You will report to the Sr. Manager, Brand Licensing. Key Responsibilities:

Brand Licensing Strategy:

Build the annual brand licensing plan proposal across product categories managed by this role.
Oversee, and implement licensing plan per leadership direction.
Stay abreast of industry trends, market demands, and competitor activities.
Licensing Agreement Development:

Identify, negotiate and execute licensing agreements with new partners, identifying opportunities.
Oversee new business and revenue growth opportunities with existing licensees.
Relationship Management:

Strengthen relationships with current licensees, ensuring compliance, monitoring performance, and providing strategic insights.
Ensure licensee requests are researched and responded to.
Brand Ambassadorship and Guidance:

Serve as a brand ambassador to licensees, offering guidance on product development and marketing assets, ensuring brand consistency.
Provide training to licensees/partners on the use of creative assets and approval systems.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including brand, consumer insights and key stakeholders to develop and execute comprehensive licensing plans
Risk Management:

Proactively identify and mitigate risks associated with licensing agreements.
Reporting and Communication:

Prepare and present detailed reports to senior management on licensing activities.
Contract Management and Compliance:

Provide support in the contract management process, working closely with legal teams, ensuring compliance, and adhering to brand standards.
Marketing Plan Review and Updates:

Review annual marketing plans with each license partner and present quarterly business updates to senior leadership.
Provide licensee/product information to support marketing and brand presentations and sales meetings.
Negotiation and Collaboration:

Negotiate mutually beneficial licensing agreements, collaborating with Legal and Marketing to ensure adherence to brand standards.
Performance Analysis and Budget Management:

Oversee and analyze the performance of current licensing agreements, providing insights for strategic decision-making.
Fiscal responsibility including developing and managing annual budget planning and annual and quarterly revenue forecasting and financial modeling.
Gap Analysis and Business Development:

Conduct comprehensive gap analysis to identify category gaps, opportunities, and market trends, leveraging insights to strategize and develop new business programs.
Representation at Events:

Represent the company at summits, trade shows, conventions and other key forums.

Requirements

Experience & Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree

5+ yrs. of experience in a combination of brand, trademark licensing, and partnerships

Experience with brand licensing management and business development

Detail-oriented

Excellent organizational and project management skills

Handle several tasks simultaneously and to maintain flexibility to adapt to changing priorities

Excellent communication & presentation skills

Motivated, dependable, able to work in a fast-paced environment

Analytical / Strategic Thinker

Team player with strong interpersonal skills

Intermediate MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), Power BI, and knowledge of financial tracking systems

Experience using online approval system (Royalty Zone a plus)

Occasional travel required (10-15%)
