About the Role
As the Social Media Content Creator / Graphic Designer you will be part of our dynamic Creative Services team and work collaboratively with our marketing/brand teams to create engaging digital designs for social media, websites, e-commerce, and other various digital platforms. You will play a critical role in shaping the visual identity of our brand through both static and motion graphics.
What you will do:
Support the Creative Services Director throughout the design process (including brainstorming, design, and production)
Develop innovative designs (print patterns and graphic compositions) that are up-to-date with current trends while also maintaining the aesthetics and brand integrity
Contribute collaborative ideas and input on the Marketing team's overarching social media calendar
Produce mood boards and trend-boards that communicate design-direction and insights
Design against creative requests for all types of digital activations for Jazwares and all of its brands
Conceptualize and design attractive, engaging & CTA-based social content for Jazwares’ product lines and company announcements.
Lead concept discussions with larger Marketing and Design teams to devise content approaches/ideas and strategy
Work with Copywriting, Marketing & cross-functional teams to design entertaining and search engine-optimized creative
Become an expert at implementing industry / digital design channel best practices and monitor creative executions of competitor digital presences.
Assist Marketing Managers with ad-hoc digital creative needs
Lead discussions with cross-functional teams throughout the development process to resolve any issues and ensure development milestones are met
Multi-task on several priorities to ensure development milestones are met
Ensure designs accurately represent the company’s brand
Lead communication with outside vendors to execute projects as needed
Highly creative and trend-forward thinker
Provide mentoring to junior-level designers, nurturing their skills development
Delegate project needs to junior staff as needed
Complete digital mock-ups of designs using appropriate computer software
Follow workflow and sign-off protocols to ensure final deliverables are error-free
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
5-7 years of Graphic Design, Social Media Content Creation and Marketing
Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, art, industrial design, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud Suite: Figma, XD, Photoshop, Illustrator, & After Effects
Strong portfolio of relatable work samples in social media content creation
Highly creative approach to graphic design, typography, layout, illustration, and graphic animation
Experience working with creative agencies and production houses on multi-channel, creative campaigns
Demonstrated success of Social/Content campaigns and consumer-facing programs that have helped drive rapid growth, user acquisition, affinity, and relevance for consumer brands
A mastery of storytelling and community building via visual communication
Vast knowledge of social media/networking platforms and tools
Strong understanding of best practices for top-performing content
Experience working with graphic design specifically tailored towards social media and digital platforms such as websites, e-commerce, paid ads, and more.
Positive attitude and motivation to collaborate and deliver the highest quality work
Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills on and off the computer
Attention to detail, requiring careful proofreading of text and material
Works well independently as well as collaboratively
Ability to communicate and deal effectively with diverse individuals at all organizational levels in a professional manner
