YuMe Toys (a Maxx Group Company), an award-winning designer and manufacturer of licensed toys and products, is immediately seeking an experienced and proactive HR Manager or Senior Manager to lead the full spectrum of human resources activities across our global organisation. Based in our El Segundo office, this role will serve as a key business partner to senior leadership, overseeing global HR programs, policies, and initiatives while directly managing HR operations and talent acquisition for our North & South America teams.
The ideal candidate will be a hands-on HR professional with experience supporting multinational workforces, driving strategic people initiatives, and managing end-to-end recruitment processes. This role requires a balance of strategic thinking, operational excellence, and strong stakeholder management skills.

Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, performance management, employee engagement, talent development, grievances, discipline, and offboarding.
• Develop, review and implement HR policies, procedures, and best practices that align with business objectives and local employment legislation.
• Partner with senior leaders to provide strategic HR guidance on organizational design, employee relations, and change management initiatives.
• Lead end-to-end recruitment activities for North & South America, including workforce planning, job posting, sourcing, interviewing, offer management, and onboarding coordination.
• Oversee global payroll and benefits administration, ensuring accurate and timely salary payment, and compliance with the relevant regulations.
• Support compensation and benefits reviews, benchmarking, and reward programs in collaboration with management and senior leadership.
• Act as the primary HR point of contact for employees and managers across the North & South America offices.
• Own and manage the Human Resources Information System (HRIS) and payroll systems, ensuring data integrity, system enhancement, reporting accuracy, and process automation in the alignment with business needs.
• Organize staff activities and events for employee engagement and coordinate travel arrangements.
• Manage, mentor, and develop HR team member based in Hong Kong office, providing guidance, coaching, and ongoing support to enhance capability and performance.
• Manage relationships with external HR vendors, payroll providers, benefits partners and HR software vendor.
• Lead internal HR communications, ensuring employees and managers receive timely, accurate, and clear information on key people-related matters, including new hires, employee anniversaries, benefits enrollment and registration windows, policy updates, organizational changes, important deadlines, and other critical HR announcements.


Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline.

• Minimum 7-10 years of progressive HR experience, including experience in an HR Manager or HR Business Partner capacity.

• Strong knowledge of US employment law and practical understanding of North & South American HR practices and employment regulations (Canada and Mexico).

• Proven experience managing full-cycle recruitment across multiple regions, job functions, and levels.

• Exceptional communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.

• Solid experience in using HRIS, ATS and Microsoft Office.

• Excellent time and project management skills.

• Able to work efficiently as a part of a team as well as independently.

• Experience supporting fast-growing multinational organisations across EMEA, North & South America, and APAC regions is advantageous.
