About the Role
Lagardere Active Enterprises Americas (LAEA), in charge of ELLE and ELLE DÉCOR brand licensing, is looking for a Licensing Manager (Full time) to help manage its relationships with all existing brand partners as well as establish new ones.
The Licensing Manager will support a group of domestic and international licensees to ensure licensee compliance and foster business growth.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Lead daily communication with the licensees and internal cross-functional teams (design, marketing, legal and finance)
Serve as primary driver to provide support, information, and materials for licensees to enhance development of new products and continued retail expansion of existing products.
Identify, develop, and execute new business initiatives in the “home décor” categories.
Establish financials goals and business strategies to achieve them, providing input in overall short-term and long-range budget targets.
Analyze, pitch, and negotiate new business deals and seek opportunities for growth across new product categories and retailers.
Assist in all quarterly forecasts and business reviews. Monitor sales results to ensure revenues meet budgetary goals.
Stay up to date with the retail landscape and report on relevant new trends.
Conduct regular touch bases and in person meetings with all key partners to ensure the ELLE Décor brand is supported.
Build custom pitch decks and sales materials to support licensees (sales and marketing team).
Meet and exceed sales goals by identifying opportunities and developing big picture strategies.
Lead communication with the Design team to coordinate all product development milestones, including product approvals and any rush requests.
Work closely with the Head of Licensing Americas and Marketing Manager to build long term strategies to support partnerships with retailers and licensees.
Requirements
Experience:
3+ years working in licensing/marketing/consumer product sales role
Prior experience in a licensing role for the “home décor & furniture categories” is a plus
Experience in a fashion or lifestyle brand in licensing is a plus
French and/or Spanish speaker is a plus
Qualification Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree required
Good knowledge of the retail and competitive brand landscape
Highly collaborative team player who can work independently with minimal supervision
High attention to detail and the ability to multitask with shifting priorities
Strong time management skills and organization
Ability to think creatively and out of the box
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficient with negotiations and contract management
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
