About the Role
General Purpose: The Regional Sales Director is responsible for setting specific, measurable, attainable, and compatible annual goals for each account including, but not limited to:
- Increase sales volume, profitability growth and product distribution
- Expand in-store shelf presentation
- Establish, manage and maintain key business relationships
- Effectively communicate information to all applicable parties
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Liaise between the account and Ja-Ru
- Communicate and maintain a constant flow of information with all levels/departments of both the account and Ja-Ru including, but not limited to: merchandising/buying, allocations, in-store merchandising, advertising, sales promotions, store planning, accounts payable and traffic
- Create Business Plans for your accounts
- Develop Sales Plan which provide insight into the account’s business and product demands summarizing the following: forecasts, sales history, economic market conditions and competitive item reviews
- Survey, analyze and report topics such as: competitive items, packaging looks/solutions, in-store plan-o-grams, store sets and merchandising trends
- Work closely and manage assigned Rep Groups when applicable. Relay all pertinent information to the Rep Groups and monitor progress through: account calls, reports and top account reviews
- Ability to travel up to 40%
Requirements
Education and Work Experience:
- Bachelors Degree and a minimum of 5 years sales experience covering national accounts preferred
Knowledge and Skills:
- Excellent time management skills and presentation skills
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize work
- Strong organizational and analytical skills with the ability to provide solutions
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- High Proficiency in MS Office, must be very knowledgable with Outlook, Excel and Powerpoint and have the ability to rapidly learn new software
- High level of interpersonal skills (including emotional intelligence, communication, and active listening skills)
Physical Demands:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
- Must be able to travel.
