Position Overview:


We seek a Director of Sales and Marketing to lead our company's sales and marketing strategies across all channels, including e-commerce and brick and mortar. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales and marketing, a proven track record of managing successful teams, and experience in both digital and physical retail environments. They will be responsible for brand building, expanding our market presence, and driving revenue growth while nurturing our relationship with third-party distribution and sales team partners.



This is a full-time, remote position.



Key Responsibilities:


Develop and execute comprehensive sales and marketing strategies that enhance brand visibility and drive sales growth in both brick-and-mortar and digital spaces, with a particular emphasis on e-commerce platforms including Amazon.


Manage and oversee all aspects of the company's e-commerce website, ensuring a user-friendly experience that translates to sales.


Lead a sales and marketing team, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to achieve set objectives and foster professional development.


Cultivate and maintain strategic relationships with key industry players, including our partnership with Penguin Random House.


Analyze market trends and competitive data to inform pricing strategies, group ceilings, and deployment strategies to optimize revenue.


Create and implement an annual sales plan, consistently monitoring and reporting on its progress.


Prepare monthly sales reports, annual goals, and sales budgets, as well as provide accurate forecasts to inform company strategy.


Oversee the creation and implementation of promotional campaigns, advertising, and all other marketing materials.


Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of sales and marketing strategies with company goals.


Negotiate contracts and deals with potential business partners, vendors, and third-party distributors.


Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows to build networks and promote products.


Responsible for launching 50+ products per year in collaboration with the internal team and authors/creators.


Qualifications:


Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.


Minimum of 8 years’ experience in sales and marketing, with at least 5 years in a leadership role


Proven track record of developing and implementing successful sales and marketing strategies.


Extensive knowledge of e-commerce platforms, especially Amazon, and digital marketing techniques.


Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data to make informed business decisions.


Excellent communication, leadership, and negotiation skills.


Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and under tight deadlines.
