About the Role

The Sales Lead is responsible for driving sales growth and expanding market share for tabletop games within the US market or internationally. This role involves developing and executing sales strategies, managing relationships with key accounts, distributors, and retailers, and working closely with marketing and product development teams to align sales efforts with overall business goals.


Key Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy & Planning:
Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy for the US market or targeted international regions.
Identify market opportunities, set sales targets, and create plans to achieve them.
Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to adjust strategies accordingly.
Account Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, including distributors, retailers, and online platforms.
Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms of agreements with partners.
Ensure excellent customer service and address any issues or concerns promptly.
Business Development:
Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand market presence.
Attend industry events, conventions, and trade shows to network and showcase products.
Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional campaigns and initiatives to drive sales.
Team Collaboration:
Work closely with product development and marketing teams to align sales efforts with product launches and promotional activities.
Provide feedback on market demands, customer preferences, and potential product improvements.
Coordinate with logistics and fulfillment teams to ensure timely delivery of products.
Sales Reporting & Analysis:
Track sales performance against targets and prepare regular reports for senior management.
Analyze sales data to identify trends, strengths, weaknesses, and areas for improvement.
Adjust sales tactics based on performance analysis and market feedback.
Training & Mentorship:
Provide training and mentorship to junior sales team members or regional sales representatives.
Share industry knowledge and best practices to help the team achieve their goals.
Compliance & Regulatory Awareness:
Ensure all sales activities comply with local regulations, including import/export laws, and industry standards.
Stay informed about changes in regulations that could impact sales in different markets.

Requirements

Qualifications:


Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. A master’s degree is a plus.


Experience: 5-7 years of sales experience in the tabletop game industry or a related field, with a proven track record of achieving sales targets.


Skills:


Strong understanding of the tabletop game industry, including key players, market dynamics, and consumer behavior.


Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.


Ability to work independently and as part of a team.


Proficient in sales analytics and CRM software.


Willingness to travel for business purposes.


Preferred Attributes:


Passion for tabletop games and familiarity with a wide range of game genres.


Experience with international sales and knowledge of different cultural markets.


Connections within the tabletop game community and with major retailers and distributors.
