The heart behind your work is shaped long before it is ever seen- through life, love and seasons of change.

More About Me

Tell us about your career journey and how you ended up here.

I studied architecture in school, but along the way I fell in love with interiors especially residential and the way people actually live in them. I became more interested in how spaces are used by families day to day and their unique lifestyles, not just how they look on paper.

When I became a mother, everything deepened. It added a new layer to my design lens and a much clearer sense of purpose. I started thinking less about perfect spaces and more about meaningful ones...spaces that support childhood, connection, and real life.

That eventually led me into toys and creating Playcor- the first and only line of toys that double as home decor. I saw play as an extension of the home and of design itself. Something that shapes how children experience the world. It felt like a natural evolution: still design, still intention, just in a more tangible, playful form that lives right in the heart of family life.

Describe yourself in 5-7 words - have fun with it!

Heart-led, design oriented, sleep deprived, day dreamer, mom boss.

Tell us about a time when you thrived at work, and what you learned about yourself from that experience.

There was a moment early on in building Playcor that really changed how I work. I was just starting to lay the foundation for my business when I found out I was unexpectedly pregnant with our third child. It was a surprise, but also a blessing and it came right as everything felt like it was gaining momentum.

At the time I had strict deadlines, a growing list of responsibilities and not nearly enough hours in the day. Instead of feeling like everything was slowing me down, it forced me to get incredibly clear on priorities. I had to focus only on what truly mattered, let go of perfection and trust my instincts in a new way.

What I learned about myself is that I actually thrive under meaningful pressure when I’m connected to my “why.” That season reminded me that this company wasn’t just a creative pursuit...it was deeply tied to motherhood, family, and the kind of world I wanted to build for my children. That clarity made me more focused, more intentional and honestly more grounded in my work than ever before.

What is your favorite part of your job?

I am loving being in this toy community! Very rarely do I meet someone who started out in the toy industry or set out to be here. Everyone has such unique and interesting backgrounds and walks of life it is truly inspiring and shows it is never too late to start your dream!

How about when you "turn off" and go home? Any hobbies or fun activities you are involved in?

Most of my time is spent with my wonderful husband, our three little ones and two rescued dogs in the suburbs of Austin.

Any must-read, must-watch or must-follow recomendations?

I am normally a Bravo reality tv show junkie however I will not recommend those as a must-watch to anyone out of respect for their time...BUT unfortunately it is all I watch so that's my answer :)

Anything else you want to share with the WiT Community?

I have connected with some of the most amazing women in this community and I am truly grateful for being surrounded by like-minded women in the industry.
