More About Me
Tell us about your career journey and how you ended up here.
I am an attorney and co-host of a late-night talk show on Los Angeles radio station KBLA Talk 1580. I'm also the author of the upcoming book, Therapy Isn’t Just For White People, and the co-founder of LikeU Cards, – a getting to know you card game that facilitates human connection and meaningful conversation.
I grew up in the small town of Manassas, Virginia. Though it was an incredible place to grow up, I always dreamed of moving to a big city. As a law student at the University of Virginia, I had my first taste of Los Angeles when I landed an internship with the Disney Channel. I knew that at some point in my career, I would be back. Shortly after graduating from law school, and with no place to live, I packed up my car and moved to Los Angeles.
I've been here ever since!
Describe yourself in 5-7 words.
I am woman. Hear me roar.
Tell us about a time when you thrived at work, and what you learned about yourself from that experience.
I started blogging for fun about ten years ago. I didn't know where my writing would take me, I just loved to write! In 2013, I started blogging for the Huffington Post. It gave me a voice, and an awesome platform to discuss things that mattered to me.
A few years ago, LinkedIn voted me one of the top writers of 2015. In 2020, I signed a book publishing deal with Lit Riot Press.
More than anything, my path has been a reminder that our abilities an and passions are gifts from God, and He will always make room for them if we do our part.
What is your favorite part of your job?
I love telling stories! I believe that storytelling is the foundation of human connection. Through sharing our stories, and being a student of other people’s stories, we gain a deeper understanding of ourselves and the people around us.

I am House Slytherin, an 8 on the Enneagram, an ENFP, and a Gemini - if that means anything to you.
I also do an amazing British Accent, not to brag. One day it may come in handy.
