Would you like to be our next member spotlight?
At WiT, we love to shine a light on our members' stories and give them a chance to answer questions about themselves, plus offer advice to other members.

More About Me
Tell us about your career journey and how you ended up here.
I had been a journalist for 7 years after graduating with a journalism degree at U of I-Champaign-Urbana. Then I worked as a retail management consultant. I was a new mom when I started KidStuff PR, and was overwhelmed with the education all new parents go through. I wanted to help companies making educational, developmental toys for children gain awareness with parents through editorial stories to be able to compete against big makers with huge advertising budgets.
Describe yourself in 5-7 words - have fun with it!
I'm silly and serious, a dog lover, a Pilates fan, a cook and a seamstress.
Tell us about a time when you thrived at work, and what you learned about yourself from that experience.
When I take on a client, I become their #1 fan and I'm all in for them. When I can share experiences and case studies from other challenges, and they say "I never thought of that. That's a great idea," and then it works for them--that makes me so happy.
What is your favorite part of your job?
I love that my job is playful. I enjoy playing and enjoy talking about play. I love the people I work with, especially my team.
How about when you "turn off" and go home? Any hobbies or fun activities you are involved in?
My hubby is my sous chef and I handle the protein and cooking. We enjoy making delicious dinners together and trying new foods and flavors. We moved to CA 2 years ago and we love our two walks a day with our two border collies, who bring me so much joy and love. We live in a suburb of LA in the mountains and we cannot believe how beautiful it is. We know how lucky we are.
Any must-read, must-watch or must-follow recomendations?
Killers of the Flower Moon by David Grann, Tulsa Kings, Breaking Bad, The Sopranos, The Judge, Your Honor, The Bear, Beef…I could go on.
Anything else you want to share with the WiT Community?
With every new client, if they have any women on the team, I recommend they join WIT for the community, networking, support and learn new ways of thinking about things. The Webinars are really worthwhile!
