Tell us about your career journey and how you ended up here.

Last Spring we adopted a little puppy, and I saw a very special bond form immediately between my youngest son and puppy. I started to search for realistic fiction books about other children and their pets and wasn't finding a lot in that space... so I decided to write my own!

Tell us about a time when you thrived at work, and what you learned about yourself from that experience.

I thrive everyday and push myself to do more today than I did yesterday. In a short period of time I've been able to accomplish what I had set out to accomplish in a 5 year time period.

What is your favorite part of your job?

Having the ability to have total creative freedom and watching my stories comes to life through the eyes of children. I love that thousands of children have connected with my characters and are learning while enjoying The Rambee Boo Series.

How about when you "turn off" and go home? Any hobbies or fun activities you are involved in?

Children's sports - almost all of my free time (like a lot of parents out there) is spent at my children's sporting events. With 3 children who are actively invoked in ice hockey and baseball/softball/tee-ball, I'm either at the rink or on a ball field most of the time!

Any must-read, must-watch or must-follow recommendations?

Must read The Rambee Boo Series, of course! Book 4 was just released last month, there are 2 more books coming down the pipeline this year.

Must watch - I just finished Downton Abby, I can't recommend it enough. Loved it!!!
