PRESS RELEASE
Mark Cuban to Deliver Keynote at Empowerment Day to Toy Industry Women
WIT Empowerment Day Provides Priceless Opportunities for Female Business Owners
NEW YORK, July 13, 2015 – Women in Toys, Licensing & Entertainment (WIT), is pleased to announce that billionaire business maverick and iconic serial entrepreneur Mark Cuban will deliver the opening keynote at their 2015 WIT Empowerment Day, which will be held at Dallas Market Center on October 5, 2015. This annual event, held the day before the Toy Industry Association’s Dallas Fall Toy Preview, offers women business owners access to industry resources, mentors and role models, and for those who pre-qualify, the opportunity to pitch Walmart toy buyers onsite.
Mark Cuban’s audaciously bold business advice and uniquely candid message will kick off the power-packed event. From a 12-year old selling garbage bags door-to-door to billionaire entrepreneur, Cuban has worked hard to get where he is today. His ever-growing portfolio of businesses continues to expand and evolve across a variety of industries. He is the owner of the NBA Dallas Mavericks, Landmark Theaters, Magnolia Pictures, AXS TV (which he founded as HDNet), an investor on the TV series Shark Tank, and author of How to Win at the Sport of Business, among many other roles.
"Mark Cuban’s honest, no-nonsense approach to achieving personal and professional success are the building blocks that will help our members take their business to new heights,” says Deb de Sherbinin, WIT Empowerment Chair. “Our attendees, speakers and mentors will walk away inspired, motivated, and armed with new business-building ideas.
