Women in Toys Announces New Appointments to Board of Directors
New York, NY - March 1, 2018 - Women in Toys, Licensing & Entertainment (WIT) is pleased to announce additions to its leadership with the election of new board members.
These latest appointments mark another important step WIT is taking to deliver the organization’s mission to serve, empower and provide career growth opportunities to women working in the toy, licensing and entertainment industries. New board members are:
• Lisa Shamus, President of Lisa Shamus & Partners, serving as Mentorship Chair
• Jadyn Rosario, Principal of Simplicity Consulting, serving as Regional Chapter Chair
• Julie Christopher, VP Marketing North America at eOne, serving as Marketing Chair
• Laurie Schacht, President at Adventure Publishing, serving as Communications Chair
• Michele Martell, Esq., Founder of Martell Media House, serving as Programming Chair
• Karen Kilpatrick, VP Marketing at JazWings, serving as Nominations Chair
"We have a very strong leadership foundation, and I couldn't be more pleased with these appointments,” said Ashley Mady, WIT President. “Their individual and collective talents combined with their passionate commitment to WIT’s mission will bring insightful and exciting perspectives to our board.”
Women in Toys also thanks outgoing board member and former Northern California Chapter Chair, Caitlin Gutekunst, for her strong leadership and dedication to WIT. After four years of service as the organization’s Regional Chapter Chair, Caitlin will step down from the board in late March. Her seat will be filled by Jadyn Rosario.
Mady added, “I am grateful to Caitlin for devoting her time and talents to support our U.S. Chapter Chairs. While her service is coming to an end, her contributions will be a guiding light as WIT continues to grow and move forward.”
